We went to PAX West eager to share our progress and left with a tremendously helpful list of bugs, improvements, and comments that we took very seriously as development continued.
Who here remembers WildTangent? Back when digital distribution seemed like a novel idea and Steam was a new and unproven storefront, it was one of the bigger distributors of games on-line, and a cute little Diablo and Nethack-inspired dungeon crawler named Fate was its flagship title.
Our goal for FATE: Reawakened was always to keep the nostalgia intact while making the game more accessible on today’s hardware.
It also makes me realize that I never did play any of the three standalone expansions that this new version comes with; Undiscovered Realms, The Traitor Soul and The Cursed King. Each one added a new town with an accompanying dungeon to delve into, with new monsters to bother and loot to hoard, now all added to a shared item pool that spans all four campaigns.
The really reason i can't play the jewel Cursed King is this stupid "runtime error" which appear randomly when i play this game.
Eagle-eyed fans in the Steam user reviews have highlighted some other tweaks from the original, such as more item spaces per character and multiple loadouts, but with a few FATE Reawakened questionable decisions like shrinking from six to four quick item slots.
Based deep in the Welsh hinterlands where no food delivery dares to go, videogames provide a gritty, realistic escape from the idyllic views and fresh country air. Bosses are usually found for quests, but are sometimes encountered randomly in the dungeon. These formidable foes are larger than regular monsters, and offer unique challenges. They drop more gold and enchanted weapons!
Given the impact its had, it only seemed fitting that Fate’s 20-year anniversary be met with something just as special as the franchise itself – a thrilling remaster that actually stays true to why players loved it in the first place.
Cater your character to your desired playstyle by utilizing a flexible skill point system. Gaining experience will allow you to level up, wield more powerful weapons, and develop proficiencies in different areas. Additionally, you can complete quests to raise your fame and unlock legendary gear.
Even at the time I felt that Diablo 2’s accelerating pace and power creep were a bit much, and Fate gave me a slower, simpler dungeon crawl in the vein of the first Diablo, but with a brighter, softer, more cartoony aesthetic.
Here's my question, why the ♥♥♥♥ can't you stack potions but find the time to do the body type A and B ♥♥♥♥♥?
While we understand the desire for multiplayer, right now we are concentrating on revamping content from the original games. Multiplayer capability is currently not planned for launch.
